Trelay Farm Yurt Holidays Cornwall

We have two wonderful, felt insulated Mongolian yurts, both 5m in diameter and set on sturdy floorboards covered with cosy rugs. Each yurt sleeps up to 4 people (in a double bed and 2 singles; cots available on request) and boasts a log burning stove for those chilly British moments. Look forward to snuggling up in your yurt and gazing out over our wonderful Cornish landscape towards the coast. Bliss!

Both yurts have fully equipped kitchens with everything you should need, with the choice of cooking on a gas camping stove,  BBQ or  fire pit. Bathroom facilities are a compost loo and solar shower outside, the use of the farmhouse bathroom or the shower and toilet block in the barn. Neither yurt has running water or electricity, so it’s candles and torches all round!

The red yurt is situated near our woodland which is 150 metres from any buildings, while the green yurt lies 50 metres from the farm buildings and is next door to our beautiful orchard. Both have stunning views and peaceful settings.

Trelay is a working community farm operating on sustainable principles. This gives visitors a wonderful chance to see how we work and what we do, but you must be aware that our projects are ongoing and may involve construction work or similar within the main farm area. If you have any queries about the work we are planning for the 2012 season, just get in touch – we are happy to help.

Bedding and linen, pots and pans and gas for cooking are all included in the price of your stay, as is a large basketful of logs for the stove/fire pit. You can purchase extra logs at £5 per sack. We are allowing well-behaved dogs* into our yurts for their holidays too! There is a charge of £25 per dog payable at time of booking (max 2 dogs per yurt).

* Dogs must always be kept on a lead whilst on the farm and should never be left unattended in the yurts.

Trelay Special Extras

Maximise your Trelay experience with some of our fabulous extras (subject to availability – please enquire when booking):

• Evening meal on arrival – Come and join in our communal supper time in the Farmhouse lounge and enjoy a wholesome home-cooked main and dessert for just £5 per head. Meals are also available on any night during your stay for the same price.
• Chicken coop – What better way to start the day than to collect your very own fresh-laid eggs for breakfast? Hire a coop with 2 chickens for the week for £15. Price includes chicken feed and instructions!
• Trelay Farm Fresh Goodie Box – Filled with a delicious selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, milk, butter, home-baked bread and preserves to make your stay a real treat. £28 for a standard box or £30 if you would like a packet of Trelay’s very own sausages! We are also happy to source vegetarian, dairy and wheat-free alternatives for no extra cost, with prior notice.
• Bike Hire – Explore the local area with total freedom! Hire one of our farm bikes at £20 per bike for the week.

There is an additional deposit of £60 against damage to be paid with your final balance. This will refunded at the end of your stay.

We will send you an invoice once we have received your booking details, which can be paid by cheque or direct bank transfer.
