Pigs at Trelay Farm
The Trelay Herd has pedigree registered Gloucestershire Old Spot, Oxford Sandy & Black pigs.
At Trelay, we have beautiful pigs; pedigree registered & all weaners birth notified, kindly kept, free range and outdoor reared. We’re members of the British Pig Association, the BKKPS, the OSB Pig Society and the GOS Pig Breeders Club.
We started with our Gloucesters Old Spots in 2007 and added the Oxfords in 2010. We are running introduction to pig keeping courses this year too – please see the events leaflet for further information.
**Rent-a-Pig Scheme**
If you’ve always fancied having your own pork pig but have nowhere to keep it – why not buy a piglet and we’ll raise it for you! You can visit whenever you like and we’ll feed it as you specify. We’ll get it butchered as you require and deliver the pork back to you. You can have a pig in the freezer for next Christmas and/or could share it with your friends and neighbours….. You can expect approx 50kg (depending how it’s cut) prime pork for only £250! You can even arrange to make your sausages with us here on the farm. 5 weaners available now for slaughter March.
**Weaners for Sale**
Reserve your 2012 weaners now!! We are have several litters coming on; you can request pork pigs or pedigree registered stock for breeding. Please visit to see how they are kept and meet the sows. On going support available after purchase. Prices from £50 at 8 weeks old (prices increase by £5 per week thereafter). The following information correct as 1.12.11:

**In Pig Gilts**
Pedigree registered and breed standard – fine examples. Will be available in summer 2012 – we have 2 Gloucester Star Antionette gilts and 2 Oxford Mary gilts for reservation, £350 each.
**Pork/Ham for Sale**
Please enquire for further details. We sell individual joints at Christmas otherwise 1/4 (£75) and 1/2 (£125) pig boxes are available. We attend the local producers’ fayre at Crackington Haven. Yummy sausages always available – just pop in whenever you’re passing……….
**Proven Boars for Hire**
George - Our proven 18 month old Gloucester Old Spot (Tresworrow Patrick) £25 per service + food. He can have visitors or travel to you. Beautiful nature, excellent confirmation – such a sweetheart. He’s off on the rounds sorting out the ladies until beginning March 2012 but availble after that!
We have August 2011 born OSB boars that will be ready to serve from May 2012 (depending on the size of your girl!), Farlane Clarence and Springmeadow Jack.
